Are you a municipal or community water service system serving more than 3,300 persons?  If so, requirements promulgated under America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) apply to you.  AWIA was signed into law on October 28, 2018, and compliance with the requirements is enforced by the EPA.  AWIA requires community drinking water systems serving more than 3,300 persons to develop:

  • A risk and resilience assessment, and
  • An emergency response plan.

These documents shall be certified with the EPA.  Deadlines for completion and certification of the required documents are rapidly approaching. Duncklee & Dunham is currently assisting our municipal clients in the development and certification of their RRAs and ERPs.  Let us help you in complying with AWIA.  A link to more information is provided below.
